You may not have an Italian Mamma, but you can now learn to cook like one!
Under the expert guidance of Italian chef Giampiero Romani of Cook Like the Italians, participants will learn the traditional art of making pasta by hand.
In this class you will learn to make ravioli that an Italian Mamma would be proud of.
Suitable for anyone, you do not need to have made pasta before.
What to expect:
In this 2½ hour hands-on workshop you will learn:
How to mix pasta flour and other ingredients to obtain a smooth pasta dough.
How to handle, pull and fold the dough to make rustic, hand-made ravioli.
How to roll out your hand-made pasta by hand and with a machine.
How to assemble and cook your home-made ravioli.
Giampiero will demonstrate how to prepare a simple Italian classic sage butter sauce to accompany your pasta.
We will provide:
All the ingredients and equipment required for this lesson, including the mushroom, ricotta and onion filling for your ravioli, to be assembled in class.
A box to take your ravioli away with you at the end of the class.
Refreshments are also provided.
